Day 4 –7
Optional Nile Cruise Adventure
If you wish to elevate your journey, choose to fly south to Aswan for a 4-day luxury Nile Cruise the most serene way to experience Egypt’s timeless beauty.
Aswan’s Wonders
• Visit the majestic High Dam, and the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Sail toward Kom Ombo, the twin temple devoted to Sobek and Horus.
• Get energized by our breakfast on board while we sail to Kom Ombo to visit the temple of Kom Ombo, a unique temple with themes of theology. This temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, and the falcon god. Lunch & dinner will be served on board, while we stay overnight on the cruise.
• After having breakfast on board, we will sail to Edfu to visit Horus temple where Horus will be welcoming us there with his big statue upon our arrival. Then we will sail to Luxor while having lunch on board. There's a belly dance show with dinner served on board. We will stay overnight in Luxor.
• After having breakfast on board, we will leave the Nile cruise to enjoy a tour in Luxor. We will visit the temple of Luxor and Karnak temple: a temple dedicated mainly to the moon god "Khonsu". After that, prepare for a majestic tour in Luxor, where you'll visit the valley of the kings that contains the spectacular tomb of Ramses IV with its famous paintings of the night sky. Then we'll head to Temple of Hatshepsut, a prominent temple built by a determined queen that believed herself to be equal to a king. After that we'll visit the Colossi of Memnon; a couple of gigantic statuses that were believed to sing beautiful sounds in Greek times. Later, we will head to the Luxor train station to catch our sleeper train back to Cairo. Dinner will be served on the train, while we stay overnight.
