Stand before the mighty Sphinx and capture timeless photos. Continue to Sakkara, the necropolis of Memphis, where you’ll see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, history’s first stone monument. This morning, dive deep into Egypt’s ancient soul at the Egyptian Museum. Afterward, explore Old Cairo, where Christianity, Islam, and Judaism have lived side by side for centuries. After breakfast, set out on a full-day excursion to Alexandria, the Pearl of the Mediterranean. Visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a fascinating blend of Egyptian and Greco-Roman art, and admire Pompey’s Pillar rising high above the ancient ruins. Continue to the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria, then stop by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina before driving back to Cairo in the evening.
